Easter Monday 2012

Monday morning I got a text from Steph asking what we were doing, so we called her back and we all decided to head down to Port Sorell and spend some time down at Hawley Beach.  The weather wasn't real hot, the sun wasn't scorching, but we headed on down anyway.

I'm not sure who grabbed my camera, but these are the results.

I always laugh at myself when i see pictures of me kicking, with me pulling a face or the tongue hanging out, I wonder what I look like in a real game and I'm about to get hit for real.

Ty and Cade came down to the beach for a kick with us for awhile until we got tired and hot.  Cade had just got back from serving a mission for two years from Japan, so it was good to see him while I was down, now to get Cade to move up to Sydney to try out for the giants! :)

Eden has a kicking face too I see

Haz and Jay playing in the water.

After a bit Eden and I were saying how flat it looked out there and we hadn't gone fishing as it was supposed to be a bit windy for boating, but Eden thought it looked ok, so Eden, Jared and I went to Eden's and picked up his boat and thought we'd try and catch some fish.

We headed back to the family first and picked up Jay, who is always up for a fishing trip and Lachie also wanted to come, so we waded out and grabbed him too.  The water was a little choppy out, so we ended up trying to find a place where it was a little calmer and Jared and Eden were able to catch a few flathead and after a bit, we lost two rigs and were all pretty cold, so decided to call it a day and headed in.

Was nice seeing all the family and getting to spend some time with them over Easter, it did seem different than usual though without Noah and also the clown of the family Aaron.

Easter Saturday 2012

After Good Friday at Mum and Dad's, Lisa and the kids and Jared and Becky and their kids and I stayed overnight at Mum and Dad's and on the Saturday we were thinking of what to do for the day or where to go for a walk and we ended up deciding to go to a place close to Mum and Dad's.

You would expect that on a nice walk you'd be unpestered and would be able to relax, but the Papparazzi found out and was out and about :)

The walk was very easy and the kids were even able to do it very easy as it probably only took about 15-20 mins and you were able to come out at a lookout and have a gorgeous view of a river and these stunning cliffs.

Whoever knew we were from Eskimo stock?!

We were thinking Simon must have given Simone some vehicle tracking devices to put on one of the cars, because as we were at the lookout, Simon and Simone actually came around the corner, as they had heard about the walk in the last couple of days and thought it would be cool to do it too.

I thought it would be cool to get a shot of the kids on the step, but their were too many directors trying to get them in deifferent places and not where I thought it was cool and one of the models didn't want to cooperate at all.

Just hanging out at one of the sites along the track.

Simon had a video camera as well as their normal camera, so they had all the angles covered.

I think pink suits Jared just nice right?!

After Alum Cliffs, Lisa, Mum, Jay, Kobe and I headed into Deloraine and had a walk around and I went off and fooled around taking some photos for a few minutes.

Good Friday 2012

This year for Easter I thought I'd head on down to Tassie and spend it with the family.  Lisa picked me up from the airport and we went to the cemetery and spent a few minutes there, it's still hard to believe that Noah is now buried there, let alone Aaron as well and it would have felt wrong to not have said hello and spent some time with him, before we headed out to Mum and Dad's to meet up with all the family.

We arrived there and we played around on the four wheelers for quite awhile and ended up putting the trailer on and taking a heap of the kids for a spin.

Kobe again got poo on his hands and Lisa was having a good old laugh at him.

Hugh had just turned 1 and Steph had brought along a cake so we could all share in a bit of his birthday even though we were a few days late.  I think Eden was more excited than Hughbie though!

After having tea and when the sun had gone down, we ended up going outside and lighting the bonfire up in the paddock.  My brothers, well my family are pyromaniacs, and started throwing petrol on the wood to get the fire going and it seemed like it wouldn't go, but after awhile she was up and roaring.

There were sparklers for the kids, even nature put on a show for us with a big storm rolling through, and thunder and lightning rolling on through.  Jarom and Jess, had spotted our attempts to get the bonfire going and had come on down to see what was happening and stayed for it.

Simone came on out with the kids as Simon was on shift for the night.

We thought we'd have roasted marshmellows, but it ended up being way too hot to get anywhere near the fire to roast them, even with the biggest sticks we could find and it felt like you'd be fired if you got too close.

We ended up only spending just over an hr outside as it started bucketing down with the storm, so we sat outside on the porch for awhile and then went inside and ate the pavlova.. yum!!
