Good Friday 2012

This year for Easter I thought I'd head on down to Tassie and spend it with the family.  Lisa picked me up from the airport and we went to the cemetery and spent a few minutes there, it's still hard to believe that Noah is now buried there, let alone Aaron as well and it would have felt wrong to not have said hello and spent some time with him, before we headed out to Mum and Dad's to meet up with all the family.

We arrived there and we played around on the four wheelers for quite awhile and ended up putting the trailer on and taking a heap of the kids for a spin.

Kobe again got poo on his hands and Lisa was having a good old laugh at him.

Hugh had just turned 1 and Steph had brought along a cake so we could all share in a bit of his birthday even though we were a few days late.  I think Eden was more excited than Hughbie though!

After having tea and when the sun had gone down, we ended up going outside and lighting the bonfire up in the paddock.  My brothers, well my family are pyromaniacs, and started throwing petrol on the wood to get the fire going and it seemed like it wouldn't go, but after awhile she was up and roaring.

There were sparklers for the kids, even nature put on a show for us with a big storm rolling through, and thunder and lightning rolling on through.  Jarom and Jess, had spotted our attempts to get the bonfire going and had come on down to see what was happening and stayed for it.

Simone came on out with the kids as Simon was on shift for the night.

We thought we'd have roasted marshmellows, but it ended up being way too hot to get anywhere near the fire to roast them, even with the biggest sticks we could find and it felt like you'd be fired if you got too close.

We ended up only spending just over an hr outside as it started bucketing down with the storm, so we sat outside on the porch for awhile and then went inside and ate the pavlova.. yum!!
